Annual Report 2008

The project descriptions in this annual report are excellent examples of the way the Alfred Mozer Stichting contributes to the capacity building of (social-)democratic parties. It is our conviction that by supporting (social-) democratic parties, we make a contribution in sustaining and further developing democratic political systems. Political parties are important vehicles in democracies. International support for political parties and systems is still necessary, although never completely without controversy. We belief that twinning with political parties is in accordance with the aims and philosophy of the MATRA programme of The Netherlands Ministry of Foreign affairs. This philosophy also closely follows the international tradition of the social-democratic political family. Solidarity is one of our main principles.
